Everything starts with a remote review.
No trip is booked until your case has been reviewed and the treatment confirmed to be appropriate for you.
Share your scans and records
Whatever you already have — a recent CT scan (CBCT), a panoramic X-ray, or simply photos and a description of your situation.
Remote evaluation
I review what you send personally and explain, in plain terms, what treatment is likely to involve and whether more information is needed.
Confirmed before you fly
Your trip is only planned once we agree the treatment is right for you. A full clinical exam still takes place in person before surgery — the remote review is a first opinion, not a final diagnosis.

Your path, step by step.
Every case moves through the same five stages — the pace and length depend on yours.
Initial contact
You reach out and share a short description of your situation.
Preliminary case review
I personally review what you send and explain, in plain terms, whether treatment looks appropriate and what it would likely involve.
Proposed treatment & travel planning
Once we agree treatment is right for you, I prepare your personalized outline and we plan your trip together.
In-person assessment & treatment
A full clinical exam confirms the plan before anything is performed. Treatment then proceeds according to your case.
Follow-up & next steps
Before you leave, we review your recovery and agree how follow-up will be handled once you're home.
What to know before you plan the trip.
Costs and schedule are discussed after the initial evaluation, once your case has been reviewed.
What will my treatment estimate include?
Your individual estimate breaks down the procedures and stages proposed for your case, so you know in advance what it covers.
- Clinical and surgical treatment
- Provisional and final prostheses, when applicable to your case
- Diagnostic exams required for your treatment
- Sedation, when clinically indicated and included in your plan
- Follow-up visits during your stay
Planning for your care back home.
As part of your treatment planning, we select an implant system with an established presence in your home country and check the availability of the relevant components. This helps support ongoing care with a suitably qualified local dentist after you return.
Local care depends on the dentist's assessment and familiarity with your specific implant and restoration system. Any local appointments and fees are arranged separately, unless otherwise agreed.
To support that follow-up, you'll receive documentation covering:
- Identification of the manufacturer, implant system and components used
- Relevant information about the prosthesis and treatment performed
- Aftercare and maintenance guidance
- Records that can be shared with your chosen dentist, with your authorization
Why Brazil for advanced dental implant treatment?
Choosing a country is only part of the decision. What matters most is choosing the right professional to plan and perform your treatment.
Brazil has one of the world's largest dental communities and a long-standing tradition in advanced dentistry — implant dentistry, full-arch rehabilitation, oral surgery, dental education, research and digital dentistry. Full mouth dental implants, All-on-X dental implants and full arch dental implants in Brazil are performed routinely, not as a novelty, in Brazilian implant centers, which is part of why dental implant treatment abroad in Brazil has become a serious option for patients from many countries. Still, the country is the setting for your treatment, not the reason to choose it — the outcome depends on the professional you choose.
For patients traveling from abroad, the process begins with a remote conversation and a careful review of the available records. Treatment decisions are confirmed in person in Florianópolis, with a plan built around your clinical needs, travel timing and long-term care. What you can expect is a combination of professional expertise, advanced implant dentistry, an academic background, personalized treatment planning, a digital workflow and transparency about what your case involves.

Common questions, answered plainly.
What are zygomatic implants?
Long implants anchored in the zygomatic bone (the cheekbone) instead of relying only on the bone of the upper jaw ridge. They can be a solution for people who have been told they don't have enough bone for implants and want fixed teeth, often without the need for a bone graft. They depend on a CT scan and an in-person assessment. Learn more about zygomatic implants.
Are zygomatic implants an option if I was told I don't have enough bone?
In selected cases, yes. Zygomatic implants may be considered when the upper jaw has lost too much bone for conventional implants, but they are not the first choice and they need imaging and an in-person assessment before any decision.
Do you treat full-arch cases, such as All-on-4 or All-on-X?
Yes. Full-arch rehabilitation, including All-on-4 and All-on-X approaches, is part of my daily work, together with the Zygo Team when a case is more complex. Whether it suits you, and with how many implants, depends on your bone, anatomy and bite, and is confirmed after an in-person exam.
How long does treatment take?
It depends on the complexity of your case, so the exact timeline is set during the evaluation: get in touch and we will talk through yours. For full-arch cases with immediate loading, surgery and delivery of fixed teeth can be completed within 12 hours when the case allows it. The final prosthesis comes later, after healing.
Can I leave surgery with fixed teeth?
Often, yes. Immediate loading is our specialty: when the case allows it, the implants are placed in the morning and you leave the same day with fixed teeth, within 12 hours. Not every case allows it, but today this is quite predictable thanks to the CT imaging we use, which shows beforehand whether your case is a good fit.
Can I start without a CT scan?
Yes. You can start with whatever you already have — recent photos, a panoramic X-ray, or simply a description of your situation. I will let you know if a CT scan (CBCT) is needed to complete your evaluation.
What can be assessed before I travel?
From your scans, photos and description, I can give you a preliminary opinion on whether treatment looks appropriate and what it would generally involve. This remote review is a first opinion, not a clinical diagnosis — a full clinical exam still happens in person, before any treatment is confirmed.
I live in another city or country. How does it work?
You can start remotely by sending what you have (photos, a panoramic X-ray or a description). I give a first opinion and tell you whether a CT scan is needed. The full exam and surgery take place in Florianópolis, and the length of stay and number of trips depend on your case.
How long will I need to stay?
It depends on your case. Some are completed in a single visit; others call for a longer stay. The estimated length of stay is part of your personalized treatment outline, confirmed once your evaluation is complete.
Will I need more than one trip?
Some cases are completed in a single visit. Others may call for a second trip, depending on the treatment plan — this is discussed individually as part of your evaluation, not assumed either way.
Will I receive temporary or final teeth during my visit?
It depends on the clinical indication for your case. When clinically indicated, a fixed provisional restoration may be delivered on the day of surgery, and for suitable full-arch cases patients may leave surgery with fixed temporary teeth while healing takes place. Same-day temporary teeth are not appropriate for every case; the final decision follows clinical assessment and planning. The final prosthesis is planned after the appropriate healing and clinical follow-up period.
What about anesthesia? Is the surgery safe?
Surgery is performed under local anesthesia. Depending on your health, I may ask for a clinical evaluation and surgical risk clearance from your cardiologist or physician, to define what is needed beforehand. The procedure takes place in a surgical center with a cardiac monitor, oxygen saturation monitoring (pulse oximetry) and an AED available.
Does it hurt? What is recovery like?
During surgery, local anesthesia blocks pain. Afterwards, the prescribed medication keeps discomfort under control; even so, some discomfort and swelling may be felt in the first days, and they tend to ease as the days go by. You will receive instructions on care and on returning to your routine.
How much does treatment cost?
The cost can only be set after the clinical and radiological evaluation of your case, because it depends on how many implants are needed, the complexity and the prostheses. That is why the estimate is individual and there is no fixed price in advance.
What is included in my estimate?
Your estimate is prepared for your specific case and breaks down the clinical treatment, any prostheses and exams involved, and what travel support is included. Ask during your evaluation if anything isn't clear.
How long do implants last?
Implants are designed to last a lifetime, but that depends on proper maintenance: good hygiene, yearly check-ups and regular follow-up with your dentist. Habits such as smoking and a lack of maintenance can compromise the result.
How is follow-up arranged after I return home?
Before you leave, we review your recovery and what to expect. For routine questions afterward, I stay reachable by WhatsApp, email or iMessage; anything that needs closer follow-up is discussed based on your situation.
Can a dentist in my home country maintain my implants?
As part of planning your treatment, we select an implant system with an established presence in your home country and check the availability of the relevant components, and you receive documentation to support a local dentist in providing ongoing care. Whether a specific dentist can maintain your implant and restoration system depends on their own assessment and familiarity with it — this isn't something we can guarantee on their behalf.
Is care available in English?
